Start-up mindset - From university to your own start-up. How does it work and what do I need?

In this event you will learn everything about the mindset of founders. From university to your own start-up. How does it work and what do I need?

We welcome Raijana Schiemann as a speaker.

After training as a biological-technical assistant, Raijana Schiemann completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Greifswald. She then went on to study for a Master of Science in Aquaculture at the University of Rostock in order to gain a more practical orientation. During her studies, she got to know her co-founders at the time and pursued the idea of founding a company at the same time. As a biologist, she wrote her Master's thesis on the idea of founding mealworms and started her professional life directly with her own start-up. The start-up ENTAVA won almost all regional innovation competitions and received various grants. However, the idea of using mealworms as a sustainable source of protein for human nutrition required more than just a climate chamber at the university, which is why ENTAVA built a 720m2 production facility in Roggentin (near Rostock). Since 2022, around 2 tonnes of live mealworms have been produced there and processed into various products.
