Success in tandem - this is the concept behind the Female Founders NORD°OST° programme. In the four-month programme set up by the cross-university start-up agency "Stapellauf NORD°OST°", prospective female founders benefit from the experience of established female entrepreneurs and experts from the region. The Female Founders programme is intended to be a springboard for the next generation of female founders. It is aimed at female students, research assistants, PhD students, postdocs and graduates of the three universities in Greifswald, Stralsund and Neubrandenburg who are interested in setting up their own business. The idea is to work together with experienced mentors to develop and evaluate business ideas as quickly as possible and to learn start-up-related skills.
After a successful first round in the winter semester 21/22, the second round of Female Founders was launched on 28 April with a kick-off event in the auditorium of Greifswald University. Once again, up to five prospective female founders or teams can network with experts from business and science. "We very much hope to be able to transfer the great spirit of the first round to our second round," said Rima Rifai, coordinator of the programme, in her introductory speech at the event. "The highly motivated participants from our universities make us very optimistic in this respect."
