NOX Technologies
"For us, founding a company means having the freedom to turn our own ideas into reality. Using this freedom to make everyday life easier for certain groups of people in a progressive and innovative way and to create added value for them." - With these words, Team NOX Technologies introduced their business idea at the StartUp Nord° Ost° 2020 business plan competition, which they won in November last year. Johannes Mai and Anna Elisa Völz developed a smart door lock adapted to the needs of elderly people and people in need of care and impressed the jury as a team with their business plan and pitch. With the help of the start-up agency Stapellauf Nord°Ost°, they are now expanding their idea and creating the first prototype with the help of their new IT team member, Heiko Hillenhagen. The start-up scene can look forward to the further development of this founding team.
NIPOKA GmbH
Nipoka GmbH, a spin-off of the University and University Medicine Greifswald, offers a revolutionary analysis method for the precise quantification of cell changes in kidneys. Using 3D-structured light microscopy, the smallest changes in the kidney can be detected faster than before and samples can be compared objectively. This promises a significantly better diagnosis and contributes to the development of new medication against kidney diseases.
GWA Hygiene GmbH
A success story from the Hanseatic city of Stralsund - GWA Hygiene GmbH was founded in 2015 as a spin-off from Stralsund University of Applied Sciences. Their vision: to reduce hospital infections with NosoEx, a modern monitoring system for measuring hand hygiene.
After successfully taking part in the "inspired" ideas competition organised by Stralsund University of Applied Sciences, the start-up team was awarded an EXIST grant. The start-up was successful. In addition to investors such as MiG VerwaltungsAG and High-Tech Gründerfonds, the team has received numerous awards such as the KfW Award 2018 and the LUDWIG-BÖLKOW Technology Prize 2018. The team still has many plans to support hospitals on their way to becoming smart hospitals.
