The business idea is there. But does it have the potential to become a successful spin-off? How can you become self-employed with your own scientific expertise or market your own research results in an entrepreneurial way? - Women interested in setting up their own business can find out in the "Female Founders NORD°OST°" programme, a joint project between the universities of Stralsund, Neubrandenburg and Greifswald. "This is the first time the programme has been launched to promote women's start-ups"explains Doreen Mlodzik, start-up counselling agent at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences.
Four months, mentors, workshops, coaching The programme starts on 1 November 2021 and is scheduled to run for four months. Potential female founders and teams of female founders will find the conditions to familiarise themselves with their entrepreneurial career paths outside of traditional research and to try out the development of their own business idea. It aims to sensitise participants to innovative business models and teach them key management skills. Participants can establish contacts with entrepreneurs. Gain insights from successful businesswomen from the region. Practice-orientated workshops are designed to help them take the first steps in their start-up project. The participants are supported by the coaching team. The barrier to participation is low, says Doreen Mlodzik, "the application is simple, you don't need a business plan or an extensive idea sketch".
Participation in the programme is free of charge and is aimed at female students, research assistants, doctoral candidates, postdocs and graduates (up to two years after graduation) from all disciplines at the universities of Stralsund, Neubrandenburg and the University of Greifswald. The programme takes place in Greifswald. There will be both face-to-face and digital meetings for the participants.
