Social Impact Challenges 2024

Social Impact Challenges 2024

There is a huge potential of committed people at our universities who are waiting to solve social problems. With our Social Impact Challenge 2024, we have encouraged companies and organisations to share their challenges. Together with students, academics and external experts, we are developing effective solutions.

In a first step, the student and academic teams will be familiarised with the challenges. Marius Schmidt and Matti Glatte from Mount Even will be responsible for supporting the various phases.

The event will kick off on 7 November with an information event about the format and the submitted challenges. You will have the opportunity to get to know the experts supporting the individual challenges in person.

On 14 and 15 November, the teams formed will be able to immerse themselves in their work on the premises of the Lubmin Adult Education Centre. Accompanying workshops will teach creative solution strategies and approaches, and the topics will be explored intensively over 1 ½ days. Whether it's an inspiring walk on the beach or working together in the seminar room - it's worth being there!

The crowning finale is the event on 26 November, where all participating teams will give their final pitch. The audience and jury will provide valuable feedback and the region's partners will be on hand to receive the results of your work.

Participation in the programme is worthwhile, not only because of the added value you bring to the region. For example, you will also gain valuable practical experience of how solution-finding methods can be adapted to real challenges.

So be there! Have you become curious?
