On 2 November, the third batch of our Female Founders Programme kicked off with a digital meet-and-greet. In this round, nine young women with six exciting business ideas want to take part in the programme. We are very pleased about this great response to our programme.

On 17 November 2022, this year's winners of the cross-university business plan competition will once again be chosen. Individual prizes of up to 3,000 euros and a special prize from the University of Greifswald are up for grabs.
Our Female Founders accelerator programme will now enter its third round in November 2022. The second batch of "Female Founders" concluded with a pitch event on 5 September. The participants presented the business concepts they had developed during the programme at the University of Greifswald.
The first step towards founding a company has been taken! On 8 August, we received the good news that the HanseDeeg team's application for an EXIST start-up grant had been approved. Our congratulations go to Dinah Petersen, Kathrina Ambrosius and Andreas Moll from the HanseDeeg team.
The cabinet today adopted the first comprehensive start-up strategy of a federal government. The aim of the strategy is to strengthen the start-up ecosystems in Germany and Europe. Following the cabinet's decision, implementation of the measures, which are divided into ten fields of action, will now begin.
In the neighbouring state of Schleswig-Holstein, the application phase for the Nordpreneur 2022 StartUp Competition will begin on 1 August 2022. The start-up competition for the entire North will take place in Flensburg on 23 September.
The state-wide ideas competition "inspired" organised by the Centre for Entrepreneurship (ZfE) at the University of Rostock took place on 13 July 2022. The most original business ideas and pioneering research results from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern were honoured here.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs has launched a new guideline for the promotion of innovative start-ups through a living allowance - the so-called start-up grant. "Start-ups based on innovative products or services are often more risky than conventional business areas. The grant supports founders of innovative start-ups in the fields of engineering, natural sciences and the creative industries.
The jury, sponsors and audience have decided on the winners of this year's UNIQUE ideas competition. The competition promotes the spirit of innovation and business start-ups at the Greifswald research centre. The winning teams will now receive support in the further development of their ideas and in founding a company.
