Set course for a start-up: SEGEL SETZEN! is the annual business plan competition of the NORD°OST° science region, organised by our cross-university start-up agency Stapellauf NORD°OST°. Individual founders and start-up teams, consisting of students, doctoral students, researchers or employees of universities or non-university research institutions in Mecklenburg-Western PomeraniaThe business plan competition gives young entrepreneurs the chance to submit their business concepts. The focus is on a meaningful presentation of the financial, technical and organisational implementation of a business concept. The submitted business plans are scrutinised and evaluated by experienced practitioners. All participants benefit from expert feedback, workshops and contacts with network partners right from the start.

Participation is free of charge and attractive prize money awaits the winners:
1st prize: 10.000 €
2nd prize: 5.000 €
3rd prize: 2.000 €
The University of Greifswald is also donating a special prize of 3.000 € (awarded exclusively to participants from Greifswald's scientific institutions).

That was the 2023 business plan competition
On 16 November 2023, over 160 guests attended the award ceremony for the SEGEL SETZEN! NORD°OST° at the Pomeranian State Museum. The teams "Solentil", "Adeapt Engineering" and "EcoBilge" took the first three places. The special prize from the University of Greifswald went to the "Education-Innovation" team. The Night of Innovations also gave participants the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the products of over 20 start-ups from all over Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. We are delighted with the success of the event and have summarised some impressions of the evening in a video:
