The competition is open to natural persons of legal age who fulfil the following requirementsBusiness plan competition SEGEL SETZEN! NORD°OST° conditions of participation:
- Students enrolled at the University and University Medicine Greifswald, the University and University Medicine Rostock and the Universities of Applied Sciences Neubrandenburg, Stralsund and Wismar
- Academic staff, doctoral candidates, post-docs and professors at the University and University Medicine Greifswald, the University and University Medicine Rostock and the Universities of Applied Sciences Neubrandenburg, Stralsund and Wismar (up to 5 years after leaving)
- Graduates of the University and University Medicine Greifswald, the University and University Medicine Rostock and the Universities of Applied Sciences Neubrandenburg, Stralsund and Wismar (up to 5 years after graduation)
- (INP), Leibniz Institute for Catalysis (LIKAT), Leibniz Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP), Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP), Friedrich Loeffler Institute, Federal Research Institute for Animal Health, Fraunhofer Institute for Large Structures in Production Technology (IGP), Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research (IGD), Research Institute for Farm Animal Biology (FBN), Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR), German Aerospace Centre (DLR)
- for teams: at least one team member must come from the above-mentioned organisations
Further conditions of participation
- The business idea must not have been honoured in other competitions with public funds (with the exception of the UNIQUE ideas competition of the University of Greifswald and "inspired" - the ideas competition in MV).
- Participants must not be receiving EXIST funding (start-up grant or research transfer) at the time of registration.
- A formal company foundation or business registration based on the business idea must not have taken place at the time of registration for the competition.
- The business idea must have been developed independently by the participants and must not infringe the rights of third parties.
- After prior consultation, participants agree to present their idea as part of the award ceremony and to participate in public relations work.
- Participants also agree to the publication of the images and video recordings they take during the award ceremony.
- The competition entries, as well as the personal data, will be treated confidentially and will not be passed on to unauthorised third parties.
- The members of the jury have submitted a written confidentiality agreement to ensure the confidentiality of the information disclosed during the competition. The employees of the organiser are obliged to maintain confidentiality and secrecy. - Members of the jury and employees of the Centre for Research Promotion and Transfer at the University of Greifswald (ZFF) are excluded from participation.
- Participants are obliged to ensure that the data provided to them is treated confidentially. In particular, they are prohibited from passing on personal or other sensitive data of other participants to third parties without their consent.
- Participation in the business plan competition SEGEL SETZEN! - including all services offered such as workshops, coaching and events - is free of charge for you. All costs incurred by you as a result of participating in the competition, e.g. travelling expenses, are to be borne by you.
- The decisions made by the jury and the prize sponsors are final.
- The required documents must be submitted on time and in full.
- Participation in the competition implies acknowledgement of and agreement with the conditions of participation stated here.
- Legal recourse is excluded
