With a sensor system in safety helmets that supports emergency care after an accident, the team from ACCIST <\/strong>not only with the <\/strong>local ideas competition at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences, but also 1st place in the state ideas competition \"Inspired\" in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in 2020. Maximilian Briz, Hannes L\u00fcder and Valentin M\u00fcller-Judex, all three in the 6th semester of the Motorsport Engineering course at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences, submitted their idea to the RedBull Basement last autumn. They beat 109 teams from Germany to win the national preliminary round. Their system is designed to recognise not only the symptoms of a concussion, but also the cause. In the event of an accident, the wearer receives immediate feedback as to whether a concussion has occurred. The target group is broad, ranging from construction workers, skiers and racing athletes to patients with medical helmets. The system should be able to increase the feeling of safety for all of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team is currently preparing intensively and is receiving support from the Rectorate, professors and the start-up service at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences. Partners such as the Centre for Entrepreneurship Rostock are also helping with the preparation for the pitch in front of the international jury.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACCIST will fly to Istanbul next week and represent the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Germany on 27 March 2022 with its team from Stralsund University of Applied Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The contact person for everything to do with founding a company at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences is: Doreen Mlodzik, employee of the cross-university start-up agency Stapellauf NORD\u00b0OST\u00b0. The StartUP NORD\u00b0OST\u00b0 project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection as part of the EXIST programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
