A success story from the Hanseatic city of Stralsund - GWA Hygiene GmbH was founded in 2015 as a spin-off from Stralsund University of Applied Sciences. Their vision: to reduce hospital infections with NosoEx, a modern monitoring system for measuring hand hygiene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After successfully taking part in the \"inspired\" ideas competition organised by Stralsund University of Applied Sciences, the start-up team was awarded an EXIST grant. The start-up was successful. In addition to investors such as MiG VerwaltungsAG and High-Tech Gr\u00fcnderfonds, the team has received numerous awards such as the KfW Award 2018 and the LUDWIG-B\u00d6LKOW Technology Prize 2018. The team still has many plans to support hospitals on their way to becoming smart hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nipoka GmbH, a spin-off of the University and University Medicine Greifswald, offers a revolutionary analysis method for the precise quantification of cell changes in kidneys. Using 3D-structured light microscopy, the smallest changes in the kidney can be detected faster than before and samples can be compared objectively.
